This is how you can support us

As a young NGO with the mission to make Namibian children happy, we are not only looking for financial support in the form of monetary donations, but also gladly accept donations in kind and pro bono support in the form of services.

Every help counts to contribute to the mental health of children, young people and their families in Namibia. In addition to these specific services or donations, you can also volunteer as a member of the association.

As a member of the NGO, you commit yourself as an integral part of it to help shape and build the NGO and our work within the scope of your possibilities and thus make the world a better place with us in the long term.

Read the following section for examples of the various opportunities or write us an email directly and briefly introduce yourself if you are interested in joining SmilingKidsNamibia.

Whether it is a one-off amount that you can afford to give children in Namibia a smile or whether you are able to donate a fixed amount on a regular basis - we are grateful for any form of support.

Fundraising ideas:

• Start a birthday campaign "Donations instead of presents" for the benefit of Namibian children
• Set up a donation box in the store. We will be happy to send you a personalized donation box on request.
• Organize a flea market, Christmas bazaar or similar event for the benefit of SmilingKidsNamibia and donate the profits.

Are you or someone you know traveling to Namibia soon and you want to combine your trip to this beautiful country with something meaningful? 

This is the perfect opportunity to support the association with various donations in kind. Through their performances, the clowns have regular contact with various contact points e.g. soup kitchens, the hospital or orphanges and are often asked if they can bring clothes, shoes or toys.

The clowns also use various props, which are often given as gifts and fit into any luggage.

What is needed?

• (Children's) clothing in all sizes
• (Children's) shoes in all sizes
• Blankets (e.g. from the airplane)
• Scarfs, beanies, gloves, hats / caps
• Pens, pencil cases & coloring books
• Children's toys & balls of all kinds
• Books in English / picture books
• Cuddly toys / Teddy bears / dolls
• Old smartphones (give young people & their families the chance of flexible internet access)
• Hygiene articles e.g. packed toiletry bags with toothpaste, toothbrush, shampoo, soap etc.
• For the clowns: foam clown noses, soap bubbles, balloons, small high-quality giveaways such as key rings & sticker sheets
